Hi, I'm Pradeep. I run Textify.tools. This page explains what happens to your data when you use the site. Short version: not much, because almost everything runs inside your browser.

What I don't collect

All the tools on this site — text, image, PDF, whatever — run locally in your browser. That means:

  • Your text never leaves your device. I can't see it, store it, or log it.
  • Your images and PDFs never leave your device either. Tools like Image Compressor, Image Resizer, PDF Merge, PDF Split, and PDF Compressor all work in your browser using JavaScript. Nothing gets uploaded to my server.
  • No account needed. No email, no password, no signup.
  • No personal info collected. The only time I get your email is if you email me first.

Close the tab and it's gone. There's nothing on my server linked to you.

Just so it's clear: right now, no tool on this site does server-side processing of your files. If that ever changes for a future tool, I'll say so clearly on that tool's page before you use it.

What I do collect

If you email me, I get whatever you send — your name, email address, and message. I keep it only as long as needed to reply and for my own records.

Like most websites, some data gets collected automatically when you visit: IP address, browser type, device type, pages you viewed, time spent, and referring URL. This comes from Google Analytics and Mediavine (my ad partner). It's used to understand traffic and show ads. It does not include anything you type into the tools.

Legal bases (GDPR): I process data based on your consent (analytics and advertising cookies), my legitimate interest (running and improving the site), and legal obligation (when required by law).

CCPA/CPRA categories: The categories of personal information I collect are identifiers (IP address, email), internet activity (browsing data, pages viewed), geolocation (approximate, from IP), and inferences (ad interests from Mediavine).

Cookies

Only a few cookies are used here:

  • One for your theme choice (dark or light). It just stores "dark" or "light."
  • Google Analytics cookies for anonymous stats.
  • Mediavine and its partners use cookies for ads.

You can turn off cookies in your browser settings. The tools will still work fine.

Ads and Mediavine

I show ads through Mediavine to cover hosting and development costs. Mediavine and its partners may collect data like IP address, device type, browser, approximate location, and browsing activity to show relevant ads and measure performance. This may include cookies and similar tracking technologies used across sites and devices.

For visitors in the EEA, UK, Switzerland, and some US states, Mediavine's consent tool asks for your permission first. No tracking cookies for ads get set until you agree. You can change your choice anytime through the consent banner or the "Privacy Settings" link.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your data — access, correction, deletion, objection, portability, withdrawing consent, and more. This covers GDPR (Europe), UK GDPR, Swiss FADP, CCPA/CPRA (California), and similar laws in other US states, Canada, Brazil, India, Australia, and elsewhere.

To use any of these rights, email contact@textify.tools. Tell me what you need. I may ask you to verify it's really you. I'll respond as fast as I can and within whatever deadline the law requires.

I don't sell your personal info for money. But under some US state laws, sharing data for targeted ads counts as a "sale" or "share." You can opt out using the consent banner or by emailing me.

Data transfers

My service providers (Google, Mediavine, hosting) may process data in the US and other countries. Where needed, they use standard legal safeguards like Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long I keep things

Analytics data follows Google's retention settings. Emails I keep for as long as needed. Cookies expire on their own schedule.

Kids

This site isn't for kids under 13 (or 16 in some places). I don't knowingly collect anything from them. If you think a child sent me info, email me and I'll delete it.

Security

I use HTTPS. Since your files stay in your browser, there's nothing on my end to leak. No system is 100% secure, but there's very little to secure here.

If I link out, I'm not responsible for what those sites do. Check their policies.

Changes

I review this policy at least once every 12 months and update the date at the top whenever I make changes. Big changes I'll mention on the homepage. Keep using the site and that means you're okay with the update.
